This month the winner is: This recently created site was brough to our attention by one of the posters in the Fanzing Forum. Hero Machine is a program, designed by Jeff Hebert and AFD Studios, that allows us non-artists to create our own characters. The program allows users to select their character's physical attributes (i.e. gender, size, eye color, skin color, etc) and costume color scheme. There's even a feature that allows users to choose weapons and a sidekick for their character! In terms of accessing Hero Machine, you can either download it (the file is 3.5 MB), or run it while on the 'Net. Either way, you'll need to have Flash 5.0 (or higher) to run the program. Fanzing isn't affliated with AFD Studios or the Hero Machine site in any way, shape, or form. We just think it's pretty neat! David R. Black is Fanzing.com's magazine editor and chief archivist. A big fan of "The Warlord," he has a cat named Shakira and is looking for a girlfriend named Tara.... |
