Fanzing's
Inter-Company Crossover
ART CHALLENGE!
Melissa Wilson turned in a pic of four red-headed destroyers of personal property.
Besides Guy Gardner: Warrior, we have: Tasuki from Fushigi Yuugi (published in English comic translation by Viz in Animerica Extra), Lina Inverse from Slayers (English trans comic by CPM), and Hikaru from Magic Knight Rayearth (English trans comic by Mixxzine)
"Batman and the Grifter" by Brandon Blank
The first of two entries by The Brothers Grimm, "Batman and the Barbi Twins" is hilarious. Not much chance of this one really happening.
But then, "Sugar, Spike and Spawn" doesn't stand a snowball's chance in
uh, heck (there are children present) of being made, does it?
"Superman and the Phantom" is by Rick Blackwell. A few years back, DC had its hands on The Phantom; I wonder why they never tried this crossover back then?
"Industrial Knights," featuring Batman and IronMan, is the first of two entries by Bill Wiist.
The second entry by Bill Wiist, "Man and Superman", is a very admirable blend of artwork and photographic clipart.
"Superman and Daredevil" was submitted by Christian Moore, the winner of several past art contests!
"Battle in the Batcave" is by Fanzing Newcomer John D. Williams. You'll be seeing more of his work in future issues of Fanzing.
And the winner is
.once again
Christian Moore!
We would be doing a disservice if we didn't mention that Chris's picture, "Superman/Daredevil," received 9 points. This beat out Bill Wiist's "Fantastic Four & Superman" pic and "Sugar, Spike and Spawn" by the Brothers Grinn by only one point, as each of the other two entries had 8. Good job, all of you!
