HISTORY
G'nort in Who's Who G'nort in the doorway G'Nort's uncle was a member of a fake Green Lantern corps. Which was run by a group of fake Guardians of the Universe, who were really aliens known as the Poglachi. These aliens were trying to discredit the REAL Guardian Of The Universe and the REAL Green Lantern Corps.

However, G'nort didn't know he wasn't a true Green Lantern and began showing up at the GL Headquarters on Oa. Hal Jordan took him at his word that his uncle had gotten him in and was glad to stay away from the "idiot."

G'nort flying G'nort was assigned (by which Guardians is uncertain) to patrol a completely empty sector of space. Just his luck, the Manhunter's home planet lay cloaked inside his sector and he ran into a task force assembled by the Justice League International. The superheroes ditched him as soon as possible.

G'nort G'nort G'nort then stumbled upon a planet which had been devastated by the Cluster, which eventually led him to Earth, where the JLI again tried to avoid him as much as possible.

G'nort's nemesis, the Scarlet Skier (herald for Mr. Nebula, the Planetary Decorator) came to Earth and G'nort tried to convince the JLI of his terrible threat to gaudily redesign the planet. In the end, G'nort blew up the herald's skiis and stranded him on Earth.

G'Nort teamed with Guy Gardner (well, actually followed along like an obidient doggie) and together they defeated the Poglachians and restored the Corps good name. After the battle Guy Gardner asked the Guardians to grant G'Nort his own Power Ring, and G'Nort became an offical member of the Green Lantern Corps.

[This story in G'Nort's history was covered in GREEN LANTERN (3rd series) issue's # 9 to 12.]

After his adventures with Guy, G'Nort tried to join the Justice League. Nobody seemed to like the lovable G'Nort and he was soon assigned to a new branch of the Justice League, the G'nort and the JLI JUSTICE LEAGUE ANTARTICA. This team, composed of people that the Justice League wanted to be stationed as far away from civilization as possible, ran into trouble when a swarm of mutant penguins attacked the base.

G'nort spent an evening on the town with fellow Green Lantern Kilowog, and J'onn J'onzz, the Martian Manhunter. Their plans for a pleasant dinner were destroyed when the paranaoid supervillain Black Hand attacked them.

G'nort looking at the skull One would assume that when Hal Jordan went beserk and destroyed the power battery on OA, G'Nort's ring ceased to function and he returned to just being a loveable, annoying doggie. G'nort was amongst a group of GL's captured and tortured by Guy Gardner's evil android twin. It is not known what happened to G'nort, but the thought of it seemed to shock and horrify Salaak. G'nort has not been heard from since.

POWERS
G'nort with a gun G'nort's odd power ring (whattaya expect, since it originally wasn't authentic) wrapped around his entire paw so that he wouldn't point it backwards and shoot himself. However, both his Poglachian power ring and his true Green Lantern ring gave him the ability to form any object which he could imagine…which isn't much. Unfortunately, G'nort never had any proper training and he lost his instruction book.

G'nort With the loss of his power ring, G'nort is powerless. But, unbeknownst to him, the Vuldarians needed a warrior pet for their ultimate warrior and chose the planet G'newt…oh, maybe not.
